FAQ's

No, you can host your own #RedforRuth event whenever you choose, it’s up to you. However, most of the events around the country will be taking place during the early summer when we’re aiming for as many people as possible to turn red around the #RedforRuth Day during the Test Match at Lord’s to raise awareness of our mission.

You can be as creative as you like! However you chose to raise funds is up to you and your group. We’ve loads of ideas in our event pack and keep an eye on our social media channels for creative things other clubs are doing. If you’re stuck for ideas, get in touch with the team and we’ll be delighted to share advice with you.

Registering your event means we can send you your event pack in time for your big day and will also mean you’re in with a chance of winning our prize draws for those taking part in the campaign. We’d also love to send you email updates about the campaign and what’s happening, but don’t worry – we won’t contact you unless you opt in and we will never pass on your data to other organisations.

We’ve got lots of red items to help you turn #RedforRuth, including wristbands, balloons, bat stickers and boundary cards! Also included are posters to show your support for the campaign. And our event guide is full of tips, ideas and useful information. All items are subject to availability.

As a charity, we have a limited supply of products available for free. But you can purchase additional RSF items at our shop and don’t forget we also have event materials to download.

When you request a pack, we’ll notify the fulfillment company of your request immediately. Please expect the pack to take a couple of weeks to arrive, but we aim to get it to you well in advance of your event date.

No, you can run an event anywhere in the world. But we will only be able to send packs to UK addresses due to the increased costs involved in sending them safely abroad.

If you have any issues with setting up or managing your club on GivePenny, the quickest way to get it resolved is to contact their support team.

We ask that clubs and schools aim to raise a minimum of £250. This is just a suggested target, but it means that RSF can ensure that the campaign runs smoothly, will cover the costs of the event packs and other support, and enable us support families facing grief.

QR codes are a great way to organise cashless donations for your event. When you set up your fundraising page with GivePenny, they will create you a unique QR code on your fundraising page that you can use to share with your supporters.

You can find out more about our mission and what your fundraising goes towards here.
